This 26 minute documentary -- made by Oxford Film and Television and narrated by David Thewlis -- tells the story of Damien Hirst's first solo exhibition in the Middle East ('Relics', QMA, Doha: 10 October 2013 -- 22 January 2014).

The film charts the monumental preparations the exhibition required, and investigates a selection of the artist's key works including 'Leviathan': Hirst's largest ever shark sculpture, unveiled for the first time in Doha. Containing compelling footage of some of the most iconic artworks of our time, it also includes exclusive interviews with Damien himself, as well as key figures from the contemporary art world and those involved in the staging of Hirst's largest ever retrospective.

The exhibition forms part of a series of cultural initiatives organised by QMA in order to foster discussions and cultural exchange between the UK and Qatar. It forms part of Qatar UK 2013 Year of Culture which celebrates and showcases the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Qatar and the UK.
