More than 60 sculptures of established and emerging artists are showcased in different sections: solo presentations, group exhibitions and site-specific installations.

About ARTZUID
Art Committee consists of art historians and theorists, directors of museums and art academies, art advisors and artists. Their task is to develop the exhibition concept and advise about the selection of sculptures.
10 years ago Cintha van Heeswijck-Veeger initiated ARTZUID, a world-class outdoor sculpture biennale. The exhibition takes place every 2 years in the monumental Art-Deco district in Amsterdam, designed in 1917 by Hendrik P. Berlage.
ARTZUID sculpture route starts at the Museum Square in front of the Rijksmuseum and stretches for 2,5 kilometers along the Minervalaan, the Apollolaan and finally up to Station Zuid.
Over a period of 4 months, 60 sculptures of established and emerging artists form an eye-catching spectacle. The biennale is attended by the average number of visitors of 375, 000.
ARTZUID is a thought-out walk, meant to keep people going and broaden their horizon. With placing new provoking works of art in the daily living environment opinions are shared and discussions ignited. One never walks alone. By uniting visual arts and architectural space, ARTZUID seeks contemporary and unusual ways to stimulate community spirit and encourage interaction between people.
ARTZUID is a fundamental public platform where sculptors are enabled to share their engagement and desire to express alternative ideas. Art offers tools to reflect on knowledge and experiences. Art allows to approach the world from a different perspective.
