This large bronze sculpture is titled “Leap of Faith” it was the center piece of my museum exhibition at Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle, The Netherlands. The entire sculpture is made out of bronze, the cross is polished and the space suit is painted white. One of the reasons behind this sculpture was to pose a question to the viewer about religion in space. Religion is one of the corner stones of human society.. it guides people through tough times and creates hope and structure.. but also many conflicts and it divides people.. If we could could start all over from zero on a new planet.. would we introduce the concept of religion? Or would we want to see all people as one ? There is no right or wrong answer here.. just a topic to philosophize about #spaceart #josephklibansky #contemporaryart #astronaut

It takes me hours to spray this detailed sculpture titled “Elements of Desire” it has so many angles to it.. also this very special paint has to be layered very delicately to get an even result. But when it’s done it looks like nothing else ! #contemporaryart #art #josephklibansky

🔥New Release 🔥 “Cupid’s Kiss” I know everyone has been waiting for me to release a new Limited Edition print. The special thing about these new pieces is dat it’s not only a hand made screen print , but I made each background by hand by spray painting a gradient background before the other screen print layers went on. I made two different versions , there will only be 100 pieces of each. Every piece is signed, numbered and beautifully framed with museum glass. For more info and pricing please check the link in my bio #artprint #limitededition #josephklibansky

I just wanted to share some images of the creation process of this insane jewelry piece. .. If you swipe to picture nr 3 you will see the first drawing I made of Juan Luis’s (Maluma) dog named Buda in a space suit. this to show the concept of a “space dog” I had in my head but actually used in one of my paintings “Spacious City” back in 2009 Picture nr 4 was one we used as reference to make the 3D clay model, You can see the 3D rotating model in slide nr7 The sculpting proces took around 1 month, I really wanted to capture all my space suit elements on to the Dog’s suit. If you look at picture nr 9 you can see one of the first 3D prints I made to see what size we wanted to do for the final jewelry piece After that the meticulous gold casting and diamond setting started, this took roughly 3 months. Picture nr 10 I really love..At the very last moment we decided to add pink gemstones as the eyes. Looking at how cool the piece turned out, I definitely want to make a bronze sculpture of this piece 🔥 #josephklibansky #maluma #jewelrydesign
