White Universe (painted bronze, white), 2019 is a Sculpture from the "Cultural Similarities" series by the contemporary artist Joseph Klibansky. It's made from the materials bronze, spray paint. And it's created as a limited edition in multiple sizes.

The polished/painted bronze sculpture "White Universe" is part of the well-known Astronaut series by Joseph Klibansky. The astronaut has appeared in a number of Klibansky’s works since 2006 and represents a symbol the artist really cares about: the space traveler is a pioneer of new frontiers, of new worlds and a guide pointing towards an as yet unknown future.

Distinguishing from the previous Astronauts, in White Universe the ﬁgure appears calm, relaxed, absorbed in a dimension where time and space are suspended. White Universe reﬂects the desire to disconnect which is intrinsic of the hyper-connected contemporary society. Every day we feel the need to escape from the chaos of the metropolitan life where our senses are overwhelmed by noise, moving images, gaudy colors and fast connections.

The character, which is a space traveler and a sacred reference at the same time, becomes a symbol of a personal journey, a deepen descent into a private inner space where mind can ﬂoat freely detached from everything around.
