“Happily ever After” is one of the most detailed sculptures I have created.
Image that this bronze sculpture consists out of many separate pieces that all have to be welded together afterwards.
This means that the crocodile skin pattern is lost on the welded seems.
We have to manually carve back the original shape and “hide” the seems so it will be totally invisible.
Afterwards we polish every little detail to a high gloss finish.
The creation of this piece, from wax model till shiny bronze sculpture takes about 4 months.. and this is quite a small sculpture..image the large croc!
