As a four year old child we were allowed to take a cuddly toy 🧸 for you first school days to make you feel more comfortable in a new environment. For me my favorite toy was a hard plastic 1986 Godzilla.. The teachers and other parents couldn’t believe that a young child chose this scary looking beast as their favorite cuddly toy to bring them comfort. They literally called my parents, asking if this was a joke because the other kids had nightmares from my toy. My parents told them in honest truth.. “no really, Joseph even sleeps with this thing in his bed!” Nobody could separate me from it My father kept this Godzilla my entire life! I still have the original, now vintage 1986 piece.. all weathered and used. Even my nieces played with it for a bit. I wanted to give new life to this childhood friend.. so I created a Klibansky space suit around him to take him into the 21st century and immortalize him through my art forever 🤍 thank you to my father for keeping him al these year xxx Feel free to share it 🙏🏽 #contemporaryart #godzilla #sculpture #arttoy Blog | Instagram/Wow.. look at how cool this “Reflections of Truth” jewelry piece turned out. 190 Baguettes! in VVS quality and 18 karat gold chain and sculpture. All pieces first made in wax, then casted in gold and welded together .. over 20 parts just on the mini sculpture. This is not just jewelry.. they are wearable sculptures 🔥 #art #customjewelry #custommade Blog | Instagram/Choose your favorite art piece .. #contemporaryart #streetart #modernart #josephklibansky Blog | Instagram/I often get the question.. “What is that golden coating you use to get it so shiny?” The answer is.. it’s not a coating or a form of metal plating, we grind , weld and polish the raw bronze until the sculpture has a near perfect shine and reflection. It’s truly an extremely difficult and lengthy process.. that’s why you rarely see it used to this level of reflection It’s also very hard to determine when a sculpture is done.. sometimes you think you are nearly there and then something pop’s up and you have to start drilling and welding again.. but once the artwork is done ✔️ it’s really breathtaking #contemporaryart #modernart #sculpture Blog | Instagram/Painting up a little scale model of an upcoming sculpture #contemporaryart #godzilla #sculpture
